Delete your Measy account

You can permanently delete your Measy account and everything stored with it at any time.
This page explains how, whether or not you still have the app installed.
If you have the app
This is the quickest route and takes effect immediately.
- Open Measy and go to Settings.
- Find the Account section.
- Tap “Delete account & data” and confirm.
Your account and its data are removed straight away. There is nothing else to do.
If you no longer have the app
Email [email protected]
from the address you signed in with, and ask us to delete your account. If you signed in with
Apple and chose to hide your email, tell us the name you used in the app so we can find you.
We will confirm and delete your account within 30 days, and in practice much sooner.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in identifier.
- Your name, if you gave one.
- Your setup answers: budget, household size, cuisines, dietary needs, dislikes, allergies, appliances and cooking time.
- Your weekly meal plans, shopping-list ticks and cooking-streak history.
What is kept, and for how long
We keep nothing that identifies you. Two things survive deletion, neither of which can be
traced back to you:

Anonymous usage analytics. Records that a plan was generated or a shopping
list opened, with no name, email or account attached. These are retained for up to 24 months
so we can understand how the app is used overall.

Billing records. Your subscription is with Apple or Google, not with us, and
they keep their own transaction records to meet tax and accounting law. Deleting your Measy
account does not cancel a subscription — see below.
Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription, because payments are
handled entirely by the app store rather than by us. Cancel it first:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Measy → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Measy → Cancel.
